Smolenskenergo told graduates and students about activities of the branch on the open doors day

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division told graduates and students of colleges about the company’s activities on the open doors day at the branch of National Research University MPEI in the city of Smolensk. Participants of the event were able to find out which vacancies are most in demand at one of the largest energy companies in the region. Future graduates, as well as their parents received detailed information about programs for supporting young specialists in the branch, about activities of the trade union organization of IDGC of Centre.

"MPEI is a unique educational institution that trains young professionals with a high level of knowledge. Graduates of the university are the most in demand on the labour market in the Smolensk region, and for Smolenskenergo is a forge of personnel," commented the head of the HR department Elena Veselova.

Work on career guidance is conducted by Smolenskenergo’s specialists throughout the year. In February, the branch traditionally hosts a meeting of the management of Smolenskenergo, representatives of the branch of NRU MPEI in Smolensk and entrants - children of employees of the branch. To attract schoolchildren to the profession, Smolenskenergo’s specialists conduct vocational guidance talks, throughout the year in different districts of the region. For schoolchildren and students of secondary vocational schools there are tours to power facilities, to the Grid Control Centre of the branch, open doors days in Distribution Zones. Contracts for targeted education are concluded with school leavers.

Cooperation of the branch with educational institutions of the energy specialization is a necessary link in formation of the personnel reserve of the energy company.
