Kurskenergo’s team celebrated the professional holiday - the Power Engineers’ Day

A solemn meeting dedicated to the Power Engineers’ Day was held at IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division. More than 300 employees of the branch, veterans of the industry, representatives of the administration of the Kursk region and the city of Kursk, the regional Duma, heads of partner enterprises took part in the festive event.

The meeting was opened by Alexander Rudnevsky, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director. In his welcoming speech, he congratulated the power engineers on the professional holiday, summed up the work of the enterprise in the past year, thanked the team for conscientious work and professionalism, and also noted the brightest events of the year. "The branch fulfilled its obligations to consumers for electricity transmission, connection to grids, having implemented measures of repair and investment programs in time and with high quality. With the timely completion of the repair of power grid facilities, we confirmed the enterprise’s readiness to provide reliable power supply to consumers during the autumn-winter period," stressed Alexander Rudnevsky.

Deputy Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Demin spoke with congratulations to the power engineers. "The Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre plays a key role in the life of the region. In its service area there are about 85% of the region’s electrical grids, about 9 thousand substations. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of Kurskenergo’s team, literacy and high qualification of the personnel, the branch fully meets the needs of the region in electric power, implements serious production programs, creates reserve capacities for the future," stressed Alexander Rudnevsky.

Special words of gratitude to the power engineers, veterans - the people who stood at the origins of the Kursk power system were expressed by Deputy Chairman of the standing committee of the Kursk Regional Duma on industry, construction, transport and housing and communal services Sergey Starodubtsev. He noted that continuity of generations, preservation and multiplying of traditions in the branch is an important condition for the development of the energy complex of the region.

On this solemn day more than 170 workers of Kurskenergo were awarded with Certificates of Honour and Letters of Thanks of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, PJSC Rosseti, IDGC of Centre, Kurskenergo, the Kursk Region Administration and municipalities, the Kursk Regional Duma, the Kursk Region Organization of the All-Russian Electric Trade Union.

The bright musical program prepared by workers and veterans of Kurskenergo finished the solemn meeting.
