IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division summed up the results of the activity on electric power transmission for 11 months of the current year. In this period, customers consumed 4 billion kWh of electricity, which is 58.8 million kWh more than the same period last year. The growth in productive supply is associated with an increase in consumption from enterprises of the agrarian sector and individuals.
The losses of electric power following the results of 11 months of 2017 were reduced by 16.7 million kWh relative to the same period of the last year. Improvements in the indicators were facilitated by a number of organizational and technical measures, such as the replacement of wires on overloaded 10 and 0.4 kV power lines, the replacement of taps in residential houses with self-supporting insulated wire, the seasonal switch-off of transformers, the equalization of loads in phases, and the regulation of voltage at transformer substations. In addition, for 11 months of 2017, the power engineers identified 442 facts of non-contractual and non-metered consumption of electricity in total amount over 8.7 million kWh.
The saved volume is enough to provide electricity for three months in Lgovsky district of the Kursk region with a population of more than 14,000 people.
