The funds of the museum of the history of the Tambov power system (created on the site of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division) received a new exhibit - a collection of articles "The City and Museums: through the Past to the Future" prepared by the Tambov Regional Museum of Local Lore with the support of the Culture and Archives Department of the Tambov region. The author’s copy of the edition was presented to the power engineers by the director of the museum of local lore Andrey Chilikin.
The collection was published according to the results of the VII regional museum-scientific readings "Museum in the cultural space of the city", dedicated to the 380th anniversary of the founding of Tambov, held in June 2016. It includes articles prepared by employees of state, municipal, departmental and school museums in cities of the Tambov region. Staff of the public relations department of Tambovenergo, who presented an essay on the electrification of the regional centre, fr om the end of the 19th century to the present day, also participated in the compilation of the publication.
The Tambov Regional Museum of Local Lore and Tambovenergo have had long-standing fruitful cooperation. In 2010, the museum’s staff helped the company to create and open a museum of the Tambov power system. In turn, specialists of Tambovenergo regularly take part in events organized by this institution of culture. In particular, in the last two years Tambovenergo became a participant in the International Action "Night of Museums", wh ere it conducted master classes on electrical safety and energy saving for children and adolescents.
