Belgorodenergo put into operation the 110 kV substation "Malinovka" in Rakityansky district

15.11.2017

IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division completed the implementation of the most important investment project to eliminate the power shortage in Rakityansky district of the Belgorod region. The key substation "Malinovka" was reconstructed with increasing capacity and transferring to 110 kV.

The feeding centre was reconstructed in two stages, the total cost amounted to 360 million rubles. The substation has two 16 MVA power transformers each, as a result of which its capacity was increased by 60%, from 20 to 32 MVA. This will make it possible to unload the 110 kV "Rakitnoye" substation and thereby improve the reliability of the power supply to the district centre and a number of settlements in Rakityansky district and its neighbouring Yakovlevsky district, as well as such large enterprises as "BESZK Belgrankorm", GC "Agro-Belogorye", "Metal-Group" and others.

Comprehensively, with the use of modern technologies, 35 and 10 kV switchgear at the substation "Malinovka" was reconstructed into 110/35/10 kV switchgear. At the 110 kV outdoor switchgear new SF6 circuit breakers and disconnectors with electric drives and polymeric support-rod insulation were installed. All equipment is protected against overvoltage and is equipped with microprocessor relay protection that will monitor the performance of the power facility in real time and react instantly to emergencies.

The use of state-of-the-art energy-saving equipment at the facility will reduce the consumption of electricity for utility needs by one third.
