Belgorodenergo talked about the future of the power grid complex at the regional scientific festival

13.10.2017

At the exhibition "Touch Science", which opened the V Regional Science Festival in Belgorod, IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division presented innovative technologies and developments aimed at increasing the efficiency of the region’s electric grid complex, and interactive programs demonstrating the possibilities of saving energy resources in everyday life.

This year, the Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law became the main venue for the forum. It is here that the universities of the region set up their expositions reflecting the latest achievements in the scientific and production sphere. Researches and developments in the energy sector and the principles of their application in the construction of modern schemes for electricity supply to settlements can be found at the booth of Belgorodenergo.

The share of innovative power equipment of Russian production increases annually, large companies of the electric power sector are involved in research and development work, some of the developments are already being used in production activities. Belgorodenergo this year alone spent 97 million rubles on innovation, having planned the implementation of several types of new equipment. In 6-10 kV distribution grids 6-20 kV vertical-break disconnecting switches of the RLR TESLA series, entered into the Register of Innovative Solutions of PJSC Rosseti, have started their usage. They do not require maintenance and repair during their entire service life, are quickly installed, and due to their safe design, they completely exclude erroneous actions of staff during operational switching. The branch plans to install at least 60 such devices.

Reinforced concrete anchor poles are being replaced by steel polyhedral poles of 0.4 kV. In individual housing micro-districts and at reconstruction facilities more than 50 patented by IDGC of Centre poles of the new generation will be installed. Their design features can significantly increase the speed of installation, reduce logistics costs for construction and connection to grids. In addition, in areas with dense residential development, such qualities as compactness, fire safety and vandal resistance are particularly in demand.

At facilities of reconstruction and new construction, energy-efficient transformers of 6-10/0.4 kV with an energy consumption below the average are installed. The economic effect of the planned installation of 50 such transformers with reduced energy consumption this year will be about 858.65 thousand kWh, or more than 1.72 million rubles (taking into account the carry-over effect of 2016).

Here, at the booth of Belgorodenergo with the help of the energy saving calculator, participants could analyze the energy consumption of various types of lighting fixtures and calculate the size of payment when using this or that equipment.

The scientific festival is held in the region on 6 and 7 October. During this time, more than 160 events will take place at various venues, including 30 workshops, 42 master classes, 16 lectures, 12 business games and eight excursions. Most of the audience is the student community, masters and post-graduate students.
