Kurskenergo at the regional review of forces of EMERCOM demonstrated a high level of technical equipment

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division took part in the review of forces and means of the regional and district levels, ready to respond to possible emergencies in the autumn-winter period. The review was carried out in the framework of joint exercises with the authorities and forces of the territorial subsystem of the Emergency Situations Department of the Kursk Region to practice elimination of technology-related emergencies.

At the review Kurskenergo was represented by a crew for repair and maintenance of substations. The power engineers demonstrated modern equipment that allows to perform scheduled or emergency repairs at electric grid facilities in the shortest possible time and restore electricity supply to consumers.

In particular, the employees of Kurskenergo presented a specialized workshop "MAVR", based on an off-road vehicle. This unit is equipped with a gasoline generator, a workbench, a drilling machine, a sharpening machine, the necessary set of tools and devices for prompt execution of all required work without going to the base. The equipment available in the workshop can be powered from either an AC 0.4 kV or an autonomous generator. The car is provided with equipment that allows to diagnose and adjust switches of 10-35-110kV.

The organizers of the review noted the professionalism, the technical equipment of units of the branch and the set operational cooperation of Kurskenergo with units of the EMERCOM, which, according to Ivan Lunev, the head of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Kursk region, are important factors in ensuring the energy security of the region’s inhabitants.

In the event of occurrence of emergency situations Kurskenergo has created 106 first responding restoration crews with a total of 731 people equipped with 179 vehicles, including 75 specialized vehicles, which are ready to begin to eliminate consequences of natural disasters. If necessary, the power company can use 16 standby power supply sources with a total capacity of 550 kW to supply socially significant facilities.
