Specialists of Kurskenergo conducted an electrical safety lesson for 120 children of a kindergarten

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continue work on prevention of children’s electric injuries. An important part of this work is lessons on electrical safety. Another class of Kursk power engineers was held for pupils of middle and senior groups of Municipal Budgetary Pre-school Educational Institution "Child Development Centre - kindergarten # 91". 120 preschool children took part in it.

Employees of Kurskenergo in a form that is accessible to children told what electric current is and how it can be useful, and what is dangerous about, they introduced them to the main prohibiting signs in the energy sector. The preschoolers learned why it is impossible to touch a bare wire, run a kite near a power line, play near electrical installations, and also why you should not use faulty electrical appliances.

Together with the power engineers, the children learned how to walk in the zone of action of ground fault currents with a goose step, measure the distance safe to be in the immediate vicinity of a damaged electrical cable. At the end of the lesson, the children were able to try on real energy equipment: gloves, helmet and boots.

Kindergarten educators thanked the employees of Kurskenergo for their work, noting its importance and usefulness.

Until the end of the year, Kurskenergo’s employees will conduct another 100 lessons on electrical safety for schoolchildren and pupils of kindergartens in the Kursk region.
