Specialists of the personnel reserve underwent further training at Kostromaenergo

The forty-hour course included various aspects of the electric grid complex activity: the main activities of Kostromaenergo, fire safety at power facilities, management of high-voltage and distribution grids, the work of a grid control centre, the structure and functions of the economic office, investment office, electricity metering office, etc. Instructors of Kostroma Power Engineering College, as well as heads of departments and heads of offices of IDGC of Centre – Kostromaenergo division acted as lecturers.

As part of the energy course, Kostromaenergo’s specialists visited the Kostroma Regional Dispatch Office (Transmission Control Centre) and at Combined Heat and Power Plant No. 1 (CHPP-1) in Kostroma, where they learned how these structures work and how they interact with Kostromaenergo.

Upon completion of the training, the trainees noted that communication with specialists of different areas made it possible to obtain not only qualified answers on the specifics of work in the electric grid complex, but also to acquire relevant knowledge that would be useful in professional activity.

Kostromaenergo pays much attention to the training and professional development of employees. In total, in 2017, about 1,000 employees will be trained at IDGC of Centre – Kostromaenergo division.
