Kurskenergo received its certificate of readiness for work in the autumn-winter period

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division received the Certificate of readiness for work in the autumn-winter period of 2017-2018.

The main document confirming the readiness of the branch to work under the conditions of maximum loads and low temperatures was presented to the director of the branch Alexander Rudnevsky by Deputy Chief Engineer for Technological Development and Innovation of IDGC of Centre Dmitry Rybnikov.

"The team of Kurskenergo has seriously approached the preparation for the autumn-winter season: all the work has been completed in full and on schedule. This is to say that the branch is ready to provide reliable power supply to consumers in the Kursk region," stressed Dmitry Rybnikov.

The readiness of the power grid complex to work in conditions of low temperatures was also highly appreciated by other members of the central commission - representatives of the administration of the Kursk region, the Kursk department of Rostekhnadzor, the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Kursk region.

The receipt by the branch of the Certificate of readiness was preceded by a great deal of work on the implementation of the repair program and carrying out measures to improve the reliability of the equipment.

Over nine months of this year, specialists of the branch performed comprehensive overhaul of 23 substations of 35-110kV and 416 package transformer substations of 10/0.4kV. More than 2,509 km of 0.4-110 kV power lines were repaired.

To prevent failures from tree and shrub vegetation, 850.1 hectares of overhead lines were cleared.

All the activities for the preparation for the autumn-winter period in the part of the operational and technological management have been completed. Five emergency trainings were conducted with the operating personnel to enter temporary outage schedules, a test ice melting on the 110 kV Sadovaya-Zolotukhino overhead line was performed. Joint exercises were held to eliminate the failure in the power system of the Kursk region in the conditions of low temperatures of the ambient air with the participation of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Kursk region, the Kursk regional administration, the Kursk Regional Dispatch Office, and Black Soil MES Enterprise of FGC UES of Russia.

To promptly respond to emergency situations, interaction with the Kursk regional administration was additionally set up, agreements on cooperation in preventing and eliminating consequences of failures at power facilities with the EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region, district administrations and related organizations were concluded.

The power engineers tested and prepared for operation 87 standby power supply sources with a total capacity of 1,129 kW. 106 emergency repair crews totalling 731 people equipped with 179 vehicles, including 75 specialized vehicles, if necessary, are ready to begin to eliminate consequences of natural disasters.

The emergency reserve of Kurskenergo is 100% complete.

"The Certificate of readiness is the document confirming the quality of the measures implemented by our specialists in preparation for the winter, the availability of the team to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of the power grid complex during low temperatures," stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director Alexander Rudnevsky.
