Belgorodenergo: non-contractual electricity consumption will cost more than nine hundred thousand rubles to the owner of an enterprise

02.10.2017

The fact of illegal connection of power receiving devices of a food processing enterprise was discovered by a crew of power engineers of Belgorodsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division during a planned inspection of power equipment in the village of Pushkarnoye of Belgorodsky district.

The cable was connected to the current transformers and the meter directly to the bus of the input distribution device of the enterprise without a contract. This violation clearly demonstrates the non-contractual consumption, the damage from which is calculated in accordance with Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation of 04.05.2012 No. 442, based on the cable capacity. In this case, it amounted to 907,653.96 rubles, as the company’s activity is classified as energy-consuming and consists of storage, processing of vegetables and fruits, manufacturing and storage of meat and meat-containing semi-finished products.

An act on non-metered consumption of electricity was drawn up for the legal entity, the branch appealed to the court for compensation of damages, and it satisfied the requirements in full.

This is not the first fact of theft of electricity by business representatives. Earlier, cases of major theft of electricity were identified in Belgorodsky and Korochansky districts of the region.

Please, be reminded that non-contractual and non-metered consumption of electricity is among the most common methods of stealing electricity. The first is expressed in unauthorized connection to grids, the second - in interference with the operation or design of meters. IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division reminds that in case of detection of theft the infringer not only compensates the damage to the power grid company, but is also brought to criminal or administrative responsibility with payment of a fine.
