28.09.2017

Employees of IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division continue systematic work on the prevention of children’s electric injuries. One of the important components of this work is lessons on electrical safety.

The next thematic class was held in the Berezovets middle school of Ponyrovsky district of the Kursk region. The event was attended by about 20 pupils aged 7 to 12 years.

In the course of the lesson, specialists from Ponyrovsky Distribution Zone told the schoolchildren how to handle household electrical appliances, why they should not play near power lines and transformer substations, and showed signs warning of danger. The power engineers explained to the children how to help the person with electric shock: immediately call the number 112 on the phone and call for help from an adult.

The lesson took place in the form of a conversation and was accompanied by thematic presentations and videos. At the end of the lesson the schoolchildren received a schedule of lessons from the specialists of Kurskenergo with the rules on electrical safety.

Director of the Municipal Educational Institution "Berezovets Middle School" in Ponyrovsky district of the Kursk region Snezhanna Chevychelova thanked the power engineers of the branch for the lesson they had conducted. "Electrical safety classes help consolidate in the minds of children elementary rules of conduct in a dangerous situation. Their observance can save the life and health of the child, so our joint preventive work with energy specialists will be continued."

Until the end of the year, Kurskenergo’s employees will conduct another 100 lessons on electrical safety in schools of the Kursk region.
