Lipetskenergo is ready for the autumn-winter maximum of loads

27 September 2017, IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division held a meeting of the interdepartmental commission for assessing the readiness of the enterprise for the autumn-winter period. As a result, the chairman of the commission - the head of the labour protection service of IDGC of Centre Alexander Roschupkin presented the certificate of readiness to the director of the branch Alexander Glebov. The certificate of readiness for work in the autumn-winter period of 2017-2018 is a document confirming the readiness of the Lipetsk power engineers to operate during the autumn-winter maximum of loads.

The commission, which included representatives of a branch of PJSC Rosseti - Technical Supervision Centre, a branch of JSC SO UES Lipetsk Regional Dispatch Office, the regional offices of the Rostekhnadzor, EMERCOM of Russia, the administration of the Lipetsk region and IDGC of Centre, evaluated the results of the enhancement activities carried out in the branch to improve reliability of electric grids and power equipment operation during low temperatures. The members of the commission unanimously decided on the readiness of the Lipetskenergo branch to pass the winter.

The receipt of the certificate of readiness was preceded by serious preparation of power grid facilities of the branch - the implementation of repair and investment programs, as well as additional measures to improve the reliability of the equipment.

Lipetskenergo overhauled of 11 substations of 35-110 kV, major overhaul of 871.67 (822.9) kilometres of 0.4-110 kV overhead power lines, 110 (108) 6-10/0.4 kV transformer substations was completed. ROWs of all voltage classes were cleared in the volume of 477.48 hectares, (465.5) that corresponds to the planned indicator for the indicated period.

The employees of the branch were instructed on the peculiarities of work in emergency situations at low temperatures. Specialized trainings of operating personnel for practicing actions to introduce schedules of emergency restriction of a mode of consumption of electric energy in conditions of sharp lowering of ambient air temperature.

At the moment, the emergency reserve of materials and equipment of Lipetskenergo is 100% stocked. Means of communication, dispatching technological control systems, systems of uninterruptible power supply of the executive office are in good order and are ready for operation under the conditions of maximum loads. The availability for use of 54 reserve power supply sources with a total capacity of 1.44 MW was tested.

The branch has 9 mobile crews consisting of 65 people, which are equipped with additional new specialized vehicles (9 crew cars and 9 aerials), are provided with electric protective equipment and personal protective gear, inventory, communication equipment, gas generators and are ready to eliminate emergency situations, including in conditions of low temperatures. Also, if necessary, 117 crews consisting of 587 people, 170 off-road and specialized vehicles can be simultaneously used to perform emergency recovery operations at Lipetskenergo.

"The joint cooperation of power engineers of IDGC of Centre and executive authorities in the territory of the Lipetsk region gave us the opportunity to obtain the certificate of readiness. And we must prove this certificate! The staff of Lipetskenergo is ready for this, and the vertical of the management, which is competently built in Rosseti, will allow us to effectively apply the necessary resources," commented Alexander Glebov, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division director.
