Smolenskenergo’s power engineers took part in events dedicated to the liberation of Smolensk from the Nazi invaders

Employees of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division on the eve of the 74th anniversary of the liberation of Smolensk from the Nazi invaders took part in solemn events at military memorials. So, representatives of the Youth Council, the Veterans’ Board, the trade union committee, as well as managers and employees of Smolenskenergo together with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of local authorities, students and schoolchildren laid wreaths to graves of soldiers who died in battles for the Smolensk region near the military memorial "Blade" and on the memorial burial site "30 thousand dead Soviet citizens in the hospital of the Nazi concentration camp No. 126" in the city of Smolensk. Similar events were held with participation of personnel from all Distribution Zones of the Smolensk region.

During the festive events Smolenskenergo’s employees took direct part in city events as guests and spectators, many of them were on duty these days and provided uninterrupted power supply to the city and the region. In Distribution Zones responsible duty officers were appointed from among the leaders, extraordinary inspections of substations and roundabouts of power lines providing electricity to the main places of mass celebrations were performed.
