Tverenergo continues to fight corruption in its ranks

26.09.2017

In 2015, IDGC of Centre joined the Anti-Corruption Charter of the Russian business, publicly affirming its readiness to implement measures to prevent and combat corruption, create conditions for public condemnation and rejection of corruption manifestations in interaction with state authorities and in corporate relations.

As part of the implementation of these measures, the security department of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division, together with the Department for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Tver, took active steps aimed at preventing illegal actions by employees of IDGC of Centre.

Thus, during joint actions of the security department of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division and the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Tver, at the time of unlawful receipt of a sum of money from an applicant for reducing the payment for grid connection, an employee of the grid connection department was detained. A former employee of Tverenergo acted in the role of an intermediary, who was also detained.

"Abuse of official powers by employees inflicts significant financial and reputational damage to IDGC of Centre, which is unacceptable. The security department of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division will continue its interaction with law enforcement agencies in order to identify cases of commercial bribery of employees of the grid company, regardless of the position they occupy, in order to stop illegal activities," said Denis Danilov, Deputy Director of Security – head of the security department of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division.
