IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division has completed preparations for the regional stage of the energy saving festival #VmesteYarche, which will be held on 8 September in the Children’s Park in the city of Orel.
Taking into account the fact that this year the festival will be held in the format of a family holiday, the energy company has prepared a program that includes activities for both adults and children.
At Orelenergo’s festival sites, visitors will be able to see the special equipment that is used in the energy industry: an off-road vehicle "Trakol" used for transportation in hard-to-reach areas, KamAZ for mobile crews with sleeping accommodation, and even a snowmobile. An electric car will be presented here as well. Energy specialists will tell Orel residents about renewable energy sources and ways to save energy in everyday life and at work, will show how to provide first aid to the victim with electric shock.
Children at Orelenergo’s sites will be able to participate in a contest of drawings on asphalt, try themselves as an electrician, watch informative videos about rules of behaviour near power facilities, and unravel thematic crossword puzzles and take part in an entertaining quiz.
"The festival #VmesteYarche last year showed that interest in the topic of energy saving with Orel residents is growing. We hope that the events prepared by us this year will help to continue this positive trend," stressed Alexander Balabin, a leading engineer of the energy saving and energy efficiency improvement office at Orelenergo.
