29.08.2017

Members of students’ construction crews of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division took part in the burial of soldiers in Zubtsovsky district of the Tver region. The solemn-mourning meeting was held at the memorial in the village of Verigino. The event was timed to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Zubtsovsky district from the Nazi invaders.

At the burial ceremony of the dead soldiers were relatives, members of search groups and patriotic organizations from different parts of the country, as well as government officials and those who helped the search scouts - Sergey Golubev, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Tver region, Anton Melnik, Acting Head of the Zubtsovsky district administration, Alexander Titov, Head of the Belsky district administration, Igor Shumara, the military commissar of Rzhevsky, Zubtsovsky and Staritsky districts and Nikolay Rogalev, President of Moscow Power Engineering Institute. On behalf of the team of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre, First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer Alexander Chumachenko spoke at the rally. The Tver power engineers rendered assistance to the tourist-search club "Horizon", which has been operating for 24 years at "National Research University "MPPEI", in organizing the burial ceremony.

"It is gratifying to realize that a growing generation of power engineers is involved in this big, important work," stressed Alexander Chumachenko. "Moscow Power Engineering Institute is a strategic partner of IDGC of Centre in training qualified personnel. Thanks to the work of the tourist-search club "Horizon" the basis for spiritual, moral and patriotic education forms with young people. It is especially pleasant to see at the event students of the branch of the institute - Konakovo Energy College. This summer, the young people participated in the movement of students’ construction crews at Tverenergo. I thank the representatives of MPEI and the Zubtsovsky district administration for the fact that the Tverenergo’s team could be useful in carrying out such a landmark event. We are ready to continue to work together in the search for and reburial of the soldiers who laid their lives on the altar of the Great Victory."

In turn, Nikolay Rogalev, President of Moscow Power Engineering Institute, thanked Tverenergo for the assistance provided and for patriotic work with students. "I see the interested faces of members of the students’ construction crews, and this is important. Our main duty to the generation of winners is to preserve the memory of them and pass the baton to the young. It’s one thing to read about military events, and it’s another thing to be participants in such important events. Thank you for your active patriotic work with the youth. Today they are children, and tomorrow - people. Looking at our children, I have no doubt that our people have a bright future," said Nikolay Rogalev.

IDGC of Centre has been cooperating with MPEI for many years. Two years ago, on the basis of the Energy College in Konakovo, with the direct participation of the company, a training centre was opened with visual samples of electrical equipment. To the closure of the Watch of Memory near Zubtsov, Tverenergo assisted the search unit "Horizon" with the transport and technical organization of the rally. The young people from the Konakovo student’s construction crew were able to communicate and exchange experience with their peers. "I was surprised to learn that the military burial site in Verigino is one of the largest military cemeteries in Russia created by search units," shared his impressions Alexey Kuzmin, the leader of the Konakovo student’s construction crew "Prometheus". "Thanks to Tverenergo for having invited us to such an event."
