Summer football competitions among power engineers passed on the sports ground of the children’s health camp "Zvezdny". The event is traditionally held by IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization.
11 teams competed for the title of the winner, among them - football players of the executive office of Tverenergo, seven production bases of the branch and a team of students’ construction crews of the branch, as well as "SKB Teploenergoservice" LLC, "Tver Generation" LLC, IC "TverAtomEnergoSbyt".
The competitions were held according to the system of the group tournament. At the first stage, all teams fought for the exit from the group, in order to determine the winners in the round-robin system.
The winners in the fight for the third place were players of the Vyshnevolotsky production base. Mastery of football players of "Tver Generation" LLC was deservedly marked with silver medals. The first place went to employees of "SKB Teploenergoservice" LLC.
In addition to the team championship in the competitions, the best players were also identified. Alexander Tugachev, an electrician of the service of power lines of the Bezhetsky production base, received the title of the best goalkeeper. The best defender was Vladimir Klimentyev, an electrician for repair of equipment of the relay protection and emergency control section of the Vyshnevolotsky production base, and the best striker was Matvey Kozlov, an employee of "SKB Teploenergoservice" LLC.
The competitions were traditionally held under the motto of promoting sports, healthy lifestyles and the unity of energy sector employees in the region.
"Summer football competitions have long been a good tradition for power engineers. This makes it possible not only to compete on the football field, but also gives pleasure to communicate with friends in an informal atmosphere. The level of skills of the players grow from year to year. This is facilitated by the system sports and physical culture and health work carried out in the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre," stressed Sergey Aksakov, Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Organization of Tverenergo.
