Voronezhenergo’s specialists restored power supply to consumers in the region, disturbed by bad weather

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre – Voronezhenergo division in the area of ​​their responsibility restored the power supply to consumers, which was disturbed by a cyclone that had passed through the territory of the Voronezh region.

Please, be reminded that in the evening on 23 August because of the cyclone, accompanied by squally wind, rain and thunder, in some districts of the Voronezh region there were interruptions in power supply. The bad weather mostly affected consumers in Ramonsky and Novousmansky districts.

The power engineers reacted quickly. Even before the bad weather came to the region, immediately after receiving unfavourable forecasts of weather forecasters, Voronezhenergo introduced a high alert operation mode. And repair crews immediately after receiving information about violations quickly began to locate and isolate faults on power lines.

14 crews of Voronezhenergo’s specialists (70 people and more than 25 specialized vehicles) were involved in the work to restore power supply in the territory of Ramonsky and Novousmansky districts, from the evening of 23 August to the morning of today. First of all, the lines were restored, supplying socially important facilities with electricity - kindergartens, medical institutions.

As of 12:00 a.m. on 24 August, all power lines of 110, 35 and 10 kV in the service area of Voronezhenergo are operating in a normal mode. In some communities there are still damaged sections of 0.4 kV lines, including those located in the zone of consumers’ responsibility. Voronezhenergo’s specialists in the operating mode interact with consumers to restore power supply in such areas.
