For half a year Belgorodenergo reconstructed in the region 155 kilometres of rural power lines

18.08.2017

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division in the first half of the year carried out a comprehensive reconstruction of 155 kilometres of 0.4-10 kV power lines in 22 settlements of the Belgorod region. The power supply circuits were optimized, modern package transformer substations were installed, more powerful and with reduced power consumption.

On 1 July, the work was completely finished in the villages of Nasonova and Zasosna in Valuysky and Krasnogvardeisky districts, in the settlement of Tomarovka and the Kalinin farm of Yakovlevsky district. The largest amount of reconstruction - over 23 km of lines - fell on the village of Nasonovo. The 10 kV power line feeding this settlement was taken out of the marshy area and residential sites. In addition, instead of the 0.4 kV overhead lines from bare wire that served their lifecycle, modern ones were installed using self-supporting insulated wire with a larger cross-section. As a result of the modernization, the reliability of power supply to rural consumers was improved, and prospects for the development and connection of new capacities were made available.

Work continues on improving the electricity supply circuit for the village of Kolotilovka in Krasnoyaruzhsky district. In the first half of the year, over 10 km of grids were constructed and reconstructed, and 4 package 10/0.4 kV transformer substations were installed. Lines that passed through courtyard territories were dismantled and taken to a safe distance, additional power centres were installed for the disaggregation of long-distance power lines.

In the village of Konshino of Gubkinsky district the power engineers are reconstructing networks in the streets of Prokhladnaya, Zarechnaya, and Tikhaya. A section of a power line with a length of 1.2 km has already been laid and two new pole-mounted transformer substations have been installed. By the end of the year, another 3.6 km of 0.4 kV lines will be modernized in the village, which will significantly improve the reliability of electricity supply to its residents.

In total, in 2017, specialists of Belgorodenergo, according to the plan, will modernize 180 power lines with a length of 255 km. In total, over the past five years, the power engineers raised the operational reliability of more than 2.3 thousand km of power lines in 180 cities and villages in the Belgorod region.
