Specialists of Tambovenergo together with the regional offices of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and All-Russian Voluntary Fire Organization held the Safety Day for Children

Employees of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division jointly with representatives of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the regional branch of the All-Russian Voluntary Fire Organization held the Safety Day in the rehabilitation centre for children and adolescents with disabilities "Rosinka" in the Tambov region. 150 children aged from 7 to 14 years took part in it.

The power engineers told them about the basic rules of electrical safety and the importance of warning signs installed on electrical equipment, demonstrated thematic videos. The children took part in a fascinating contest where they could try on the uniform of an electrician, answered questions of an entertaining quiz and practiced first aid to the victim with electric shock.

Representatives of the Tambov branch of the All-Russian Voluntary Fire Organization told the children how to properly protect themselves and their loved ones in the event of a fire and how to prevent its occurrence. The children took an active part in the quiz on the knowledge of fire safety rules, as well as in the relay race, which included overcoming the obstacle course, rescuing the victim, dressing the fireman’s combat clothes and extinguishing the simulated fire with the use of hand fire nozzles.

Carrying out such joint educational activities in a playable accessible form allows to give children a comprehensive knowledge of safety in everyday life.

Since the beginning of 2017, the specialists of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division have conducted electrical safety lessons in more than 100 educational institutions and summer camps in the city and the region. More than 7 thousand children and teenagers have learned the rules of safe handling with electricity.
