IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division during the past half-year of 2017 completed 1,610 grid connection contracts for a total capacity of 36.092 MW. Among them there are 1,377 individuals (with connected power of up to 15 kW) for a total capacity of 16.417 MW. 1,806 contracts are currently at the execution stage in the branch.
The most active grid connection in the region is still in the field of individual housing construction and small and medium-sized businesses. So, for the past period of 2017, the branch provided connection to electric grids of ten 10-storey houses in the city of Smolensk and one five-storey house in the city of Vyazma. Most of the facilities are connected by the first category of power supply reliability. The total power of the grid connection was 1.67 MW.
In addition, the Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre provided electricity to 13 new facilities of small and medium-sized businesses in the Smolensk region. The maximum power of grid connection was about 1.15 MW. Among them there are agro-industry facilities with a total capacity of 160 kW, as well as housing facilities, shops, a production base, a warehouse, office premises and others.
One of the most significant social facilities, the grid connection of which was completed in the second quarter of 2017, was the Centre for Cultural Development in the settlement of Smolensk power engineers - Ozerny, where 6 thousand people live. The new modern cultural centre in Dukhovschinsky district occupied an area of 1,350 square metres. The connected power was 130 kW. Within the framework of the agreement, construction of two 0.4 kV cable lines from busbar sections I and II of the 0.4 kV switchgear of the transformer substation 572 "Ozerny" to the remote metering panel of the applicant (approximately 150 m each line).
In the first half of the year, a total of about 20 socially significant facilities were connected. Among them, in addition to the Centre for Cultural Development, there are: a children’s home of creativity in Novoduginsky district, sleeping buildings, a sports building and a construction of a fire water supply for the children’s health camp of Russian Railways in Krasny Bor (near Smolensk), outdoor lighting for multi-apartment houses in Smolensk, and an inter-settlement high-pressure gas pipeline in Glinskovsky district, a gas control point and boiler and pump equipment in Krasninsky district, electrical equipment and lighting of a block-modular boiler house of LLC "Smolenskregionteploenergo" and others.
