IDGC of Centre – Orelenergo division held the Day of Chiefs of Distribution Zones - a quarterly exit meeting of the enterprise management with chiefs of Distribution Zones. Its participants discussed the results of Orelenergo’s production activity in the first half of 2017.
As it was noted during the meeting, the branch fulfilled all the measures planned for this period for repair and maintenance of electric grids in full. Work to clear and expand ROWs of power lines was performed with overfulfilment of the plan.
The targets of the investment program were successfully implemented. Work on the reconstruction of overhead lines and technical re-equipment of electrical installations has already been completed in a number of settlements. It is planned to finish all planned for the year events on the modernization of energy facilities by the end of September.
Particular attention was paid to reducing power losses in the grids. This is one of the priority tasks of Orelenergo, for its solution the branch implements a number of technical and organizational measures, the most effective of which are raids to identify illegal connections to electric grids and unauthorized interventions in the operation of meters. In the first half of the year, Orelenergo’s specialists identified 81 cases of non-contractual and non-metered energy consumption with a total volume of over 1.4 million kWh. The work to curb unauthorized consumption will continue so actively and thoroughly, as the meeting stressed.
The theme of preparation for the autumn-winter operation period, which is entering the final stage, was also touched upon at the event. The management of the branch pointed out to the chiefs of the Distribution Zones for the special importance of strict observance of the deadlines for the implementation of technical measures, strict control over the activities of contractors and the quality of the work.
"Within the framework of the "Days of Chiefs of Distribution Zones" heads of the branch in the directions give their assessment of the activities of the district subdivisions, summarize the successful experience of their work, sum up the reporting periods, formulate recommendations for further improvement of production processes. All this ultimately makes it possible to improve the efficiency and quality of the solution of the tasks set for the enterprise," stresses Yury Volchenkov, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Orelenergo division director.
