Specialists of Smolenskenergo are ready to work in conditions of bad weather

In connection with the unfavourable weather forecast in the territory of the Smolensk region (thunderstorm, with the thunderstorm wind increase of 6-11 m/s, gusts up to 14 m/s), by the decision of Smolenskenergo’s headquarters from 2:30 p.m. 04.08.2017 high availability mode has been entered. The weather conditions at 2:30 p.m. 04.08.17 are cloudy, without precipitation, temperature +23°С, wind 2 m/s.

Control over the operation of equipment and operability of power facilities has been strengthened at facilities of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division. 162 crews and 180 vehicles are ready for prompt response. The crews are equipped with necessary tools, adaptations, overalls, prepared for round-the-clock operation in any conditions. Also at the disposal of the branch "Smolenskenergo" there are backup sources of electricity supply, which can be used for supplying electricity.

"Smolenskenergo" warns: it is mortally dangerous to approach sagging or ragged wires. If there is a broken wire on your path, do not approach it closer than 8 metres. If you are at a closer distance - walk away from the wire without taking your feet off the ground.
