A special operating mode introduced in the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre

02.08.2017

The strongest storm caused a power failure in the western districts of the Tver region. A special operating mode has been introduced in IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division.

The deterioration of the meteorological situation continues to cause a power outage in Nelidovsky, Andreapolsky and Toropetsky districts of the Tver region. There are also local outages in Ostashkovsky and Torzhoksky districts, and not so long ago the storm hit Tver. Among the overhead lines, which had the impact, there is a 110 kV overhead line. Strong wind with gusts up to 18-23 m/s literally pulls out trees and fells them on power lines, causing wire breaks. Due to rainfall in the epicenter of the cyclone, there is almost zero visibility. Meteorological services report that the hurricane spreads to the south of the country.

Power engineers of Tverenergo have put all efforts to eliminate the consequences of the disaster. At present, where possible, 12 emergency repair crews of Tverenergo, equipped with specialized vehicles, have already begun to eliminate the consequences of the disaster. Another 20 crews of the branch are in a state of high readiness. According to the decision of the Power Security Staff of Rosseti, which supervises the course of the emergency repair work, power engineers of FGC UES, as well as specialists of MOESK, have also left for the Tver branch to the aid. If necessary, the composition of emergency response crews will be increased. Thanks to the interaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Tver region, all de-energized social facilities are currently provided with backup sources of electricity.

More detailed information on the progress of the restoration work can be obtained around the clock by calling the direct line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115. The call is toll-free.
