Orelenergo’s specialists held an electrical safety class in the children’s camp "Orlovchanka"

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division together with representatives of subdivisions of General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Orel region held a safety lesson in the children’s recreation summer camp "Orlovchanka". Eighty children took part in it.

The organizers of the lesson told the children how to behave and what to do in various emergencies. So, Orelenergo’s representatives introduced them to the basic rules of electrical safety, explained the importance of warning signs installed on power facilities. The pupils of the camp watched thematic cartoons and for consolidation of knowledge they received as a gift from the power engineers colouring books and memos on electrical safety. To make the participants of the lesson better understand the work of electricians, Orelenergo’s specialists showed and gave the children to try their gear on: helmets, thermal resistant suits, insulating gloves and boots. The "energy" part of the journey ended with an electric vehicle drive.

Such exercises are conducted by representatives of Orelenergo and the regional department of EMERCOM of Russia regularly, within the framework of the joint project "Safety Days", whose goal is to prevent children’s injuries. Since the beginning of July, similar events have already taken place in the children’s health camps "Dream", "Pine Forest" and "Sunny".
