Smolensk power engineers received thanks for forming an active life position in energy saving among preschool children

In the name of Sabir Agamaliev, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division director, a letter of gratitude was received from Yulia Nechaeva, Head of kindergarten №2 "Rossiyanochka" in the city of Smolensk. Within the framework of the program of promotion of energy saving among the younger generation in the summer of 2017, specialists of the energy saving and energy efficiency office of Smolenskenergo conducted a game lesson on energy saving. "We express our sincere gratitude for attracting the attention of children and their parents to the issues of saving energy resources and contributing to the development of a culture of energy conservation," the letter says.

At the event, the children were told what electricity is, what natural resources are used to generate it, and why it is so important to know the rules of energy conservation since childhood. The lesson was accompanied by a colourful presentation based on the popular cartoon "Masha and the Bear", and then to consolidate the information the children played the board game "Smart House". The main goal of such events is to attract the attention of the younger generation to the issues of rational use of energy resources.

The children had the opportunity to learn how to save energy in everyday life, see various energy-saving lamps, learn about their differences from conventional incandescent lamps. The specialists of Smolenskenergo are sure that the children will apply the energy saving rules in their daily life.

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division pays much attention to the issue of promoting energy saving among children. In 2014, IDGC of Centre approved the guidelines for the promotion of energy saving and energy efficiency of production. On its basis, since September 2014, Smolenskenergo regularly conducts energy conservation lessons in schools of the city and the region. In the spring of 2017, a pilot series of classes for preschoolers was launched.
