As part of a comprehensive program for the prevention of electrical injuries, specialists of the branch "Lipetskenergo" conduct master classes in schoolyard camps of educational institutions located in the service area of the power grid company.
Such meetings are held regularly during the summer holidays and cover, as a rule, the junior and secondary educational link. The main idea of such lessons is to communicate basic electrical safety rules to children in the most accessible form. For the sake of clarity, the employees of the energy company traditionally demonstrate training materials: videos, thematic booklets and other manuals.
At this time, the power engineers taught the "electric reading and writing" junior classes of School No. 2 and Lyceum No. 1 in the city of Usman. The children were clearly explained why it is impossible to play next to transformer substations and power lines, how and at what distance to properly pass over the broken wire, what are the warning signs and how they look - etc.
"Our main task is for children to learn for themselves and tell their relatives and friends that electricity can be deadly. Every year, we do our best to solve the set goals - we conduct lessons with schoolchildren, meet with teachers and parents, talk about the danger of electric current in the media," stresses Deputy Chief Engineer - head of the production safety and industrial control at the branch "Lipetskenergo" Maxim Yashin.
