On 30 June 2017, IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division started the fourth working season of students’ construction crews. The solemn opening ceremony was traditionally held on the site of the branch of the National Research University MPEI in Smolensk.
Instructing speeches to students were made by representatives of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division and the educational institution.
Within one and a half month to the middle of August, 31 students of the branch of the National Research University MPEI in Smolensk will work at Smolenskenergo’s power facilities. Before starting work, they will study the technical documentation, the main production cycles, new technologies. Also, all the students will undergo a special course on labour protection and safety, and as a result of the final exam, will receive the second group on electrical safety. Also, each member of the construction crew will be assigned a mentor from among experienced employees of the company, who will carry out methodical and practical guidance of the work.
The construction crew, as in the past year, is conditionally divided into three groups. One third of the students will work at power facilities as part of the repair program of Distribution Zones of the branch, the second group will be involved in the meter reading. Part of the construction crew will work at Smolensk City Distribution Zone of the branch. As part of the agreement between IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division and the contract organization RegionEnergo-3 LLC, the young people will also be involved in the work.
