Smolenskenergo’s specialists to conduct electrical safety lessons in summer rest camps in the summer

22.06.2017

Employees of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division for June-August 2017 plan to conduct 21 electrical safety classes in summer country camps or in school playgrounds, where more than 2,000 children aged 7 to 15 will rest.

Over the summer, Smolenskenergo’s specialists will visit health camps near Smolensk ("Smena", "Salyut", "Young Leninist", "Sokolia Gora"), as well as classes in the camps of Roslavlsky, Shumyachsky, Smolensky, Dorogobuzhsky and other districts. In the course of classes, junior and middle-aged schoolchildren study and repeat the basic rules for safe handling of household electrical appliances and behaviour near electric grid facilities. Children answer questions related to the rules for the safe handling of electricity at home and in the street. For design of stands for electrical safety in the camp buildings, staff are given colourful posters with a memo on the basic rules of conduct near power facilities.

The electrical safety classes are held within the framework of the comprehensive program on prevention of electric injuries, implemented in branches of IDGC of Centre. This year, the number of planned events with the beginning of the summer holidays has been increased.

With the beginning of the new school year, the work on the prevention of children’s electric injuries will continue in schools of the region.
