21.06.2017

Employees of IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division conducted a series of lessons on electrical safety in health camps and daytime rest camps located in Sudzhansky, Korenevsky and Bolshesoldatsky districts of the Kursk region. 530 children aged from 8 to 14 years participated in the events.

The power engineers told the schoolchildren why it is not allowed to fish near power lines (conductors) and climb their poles, approach transformer substations, try to climb over their territory through a fence. The new knowledge was immediately fixed in practice: they helped the employees of Kurskenergo measure the distance safe to be in the immediate vicinity of damaged electric wires, learned how to walk with a goose step in the zone of action of ground fault currents, and also practiced the skills of first aid to the victim electric shock with the robot-simulator "Gosha".

Representatives of the administration of the children’s camps thanked the power engineers for their classes. "At the electrical safety lessons taught by Kurskenergo’s employees, the children receive the knowledge necessary to act properly in an emergency situation. We are grateful to the power engineers for an instructive and important lesson," stressed Margarita Volina, the head of the specialized shift "Time of Your Opportunities" at the Children’s Sports and Recreation Centre named after V. Tereshkova.

In total, during the summer holidays, Kurskenergo’s specialists will conduct about 30 electrical safety lessons in health camps of the Kursk region, in which more than 1,000 children will take part.
