90 employees of IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division with children visited the state military historical museum-reserve "The Field of Prokhorovka" and the Belgorod Zoo last weekend. The trip was organized by the management and the trade union committee of the branch.

On the field of Prokhorovka in July 1943 there was the largest tank battle of the Second World War, which in many respects determined its outcome. Workers of the museum-preserve told the power engineers about the Prokhorovka battle, about the history of the land on which the great battle took place. The participants of the tour saw the local sights: the sculpture "To the Warriors Fallen on the Field of Prokhorovka", the Bell of Unity of Three Brotherly Nations, the Museum of Military Equipment.

"I was personally impressed by the majestic 50-metre Belfry," said Lyudmila Gorbacheva, a specialist in customer relations, who shared her impressions. "This main monument of the whole complex is striking in its beauty and symbolism, and the bell ringing every twenty minutes literally penetrates to the depth of the soul."

Unforgettable impressions of the power engineers and their children remained from the visit to the Belgorod Zoo, where they saw animals living in the Far East and the Russian North, in Europe, Asia, America and Australia. The children were greatly attracted by the "Grandmother’s Yard", where they fed and petted domestic animals, and then played on a nearby playground.

After a long walk through the zoo, the adults and children could admire the fish and waterfowl in the recreational area with an artificial pond.

"Everyone was delighted with the trip," says Oksana Soshnikova, a specialist in the department of business management. "We visited the field of Prokhorovka, which is rightfully called the third military field of Russia, along with Kulikovo and Borodino. In the zoo we saw a large number of different animals, and entertainment there for every taste and age. We are very grateful to our leadership for the opportunity to visit such places."

The trip is organized within the framework of the social policy of the company. In Kurskenergo, sports events, contests and other mass events are held for employees and members of their families. Summer holidays for employees and their children are organized. Such care for the leisure of employees contributes to the development of corporate culture, the creation of a friendly atmosphere in the team, and also directly affects the efficiency of the enterprise.
