Belgorod power engineers presented the book "ABC of electrical safety" to children

02.06.2017

On the International Children’s Day, IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division presented a new book on the prevention of electric injuries "ABC of electrical safety". About 200 young readers of the Belgorod State Children’s Library named after Albert Likhanov and pupils of the Veselolopan Rehabilitation Centre for children and adolescents with disabilities became participants of the festive events. Everyone received as a gift not only the novelty book, but also a colourful presentation on the topic of careful handling of electricity.

"ABC of electrical safety," which belongs to the power engineers, describes in poetic form the rules of human behaviour in difficult life situations. It teaches the kids to see and recognize the hidden threat, to avoid dangers, to understand the consequences of their actions.

The main character - the Rostik boy - knows best what objects in the street should not be approached, how to behave in an extreme situation, why under power lines one does not plant trees, make bonfires, fish, does not launch kites, build houses and does not even break the garden. Those guys who, like Rostik, want to become a real expert in electrical safety, the power engineers offered to carefully read the book and in life to follow the rules described in it, the main ones of which were immediately fixed in thematic games and contests.

Almost the entire publication, and this is three thousand copies, is intended for distribution in lessons and days of electrical safety, which will be held this summer in school and children’s health camps in the region. To warn children against unforgivable and dangerous pranks, to teach the proper handling of electricity, employees of Belgorodenergo plan to spend at least 70 preventive classes during the holidays, in total they will reach 350 per year.

The new book can be an excellent aid for parents who care about the health and well-being of their children. Part of the publication will be transferred to the library after A. Likhanov and other children’s libraries of the region.
