The central commission of IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division completed its work for assessing the readiness of production units for the safe conduct of mass work in the period of the 2017 repair campaign. Based on the results of the certification of 38 units, 291 crews of Kurskenergo received the Certificates of readiness for safe performance of repair and preventive work at power facilities.
On the eve of the summer mass work, the power engineering specialists carried out a set of organizational and technical measures aimed at preventing industrial accidents. The main attention is paid to the organization of safe operation of distribution facilities, the specifics of inspection and repair of power equipment. The commissions checked the provision of employees of the enterprise with overalls, tools and gear, first-aid kits. Additional trainings on labour protection and safety, trainings on drawing up switching forms, technical training for various types of work at training centres were conducted with the personnel.
"The season of massive repair work is one of the crucial periods for the employees of the branch. It is important for us to timely and accurately carry out all planned measures of the repair program with strict observance of safety requirements," stressed Vyacheslav Istomin, First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of Kurskenergo.
In total, this year Kurskenergo’s specialists plan to repair 2,509 km of power lines of 0.4-110 kV, perform comprehensive overhaul of 23 substations and 416 package transformer substations. In order to prevent emergencies from tree and shrub vegetation, more than 850.1 hectares of ROWs of overhead power lines will be cleared. In total in 2017, 217.73 million rubles will be spent on the implementation of the repair program.
