Tambovenergo’s employees on the eve of summer holidays conducted a series of lessons on electrical safety in schools of the Tambov region

Specialists of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division on the eve of summer holidays organized an "electric safety month", within the framework of which a series of lessons on the prevention of children’s electric injuries was held in schools of the Tambov region. The program of studies was approved by the regional department of education and science. In total, during May, 52 schools in 23 districts of the region were covered with lessons, more than eight thousand pupils took part in them.

The schoolchildren learned about the basic rules of electrical safety and the importance of warning signs installed on electrical equipment, watched videos where it is clearly shown what unauthorized penetration into power facilities is dangerous with. Tambovenergo’s employees demonstrated to them methods of providing first aid to the victim with electric shock, and at the end of the lessons they received special brochures and posters to consolidate the received knowledge.

Lessons in electrical safety are one of the most important activities of the program to reduce risks of injuries to third parties at Tambovenergo’s power facilities. During the school year, the power company conducts them in educational institutions, and during the holidays - in children’s health camps. This summer, the energy company will conduct about 25 lessons of electrical safety, their participants will be more than three thousand children and adolescents.
