"ABC of electrical safety" flies from Belgorod to Enfidha

31.05.2017

"Read and you will fly!" - under this motto "ABC of electrical safety", created by employees of IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division, with the purpose of preventing electric injuries among preschool children and junior schoolchildren, went on its first flight to Tunisia.

The next stage of the International Action "Flight Books", initiated by the Belgorod State Children’s Library named after A. Likhanov, together with the International Airport "Belgorod" started on the eve of the summer holidays. A library of 30 children’s books was handed over to passengers of the international flight Belgorod-Enfidha operated by the airline AZURair and those who wait for their flight in the terminal building. Offered by flight attendants in the form of a book menu, new items captured the attention of young travellers for the entire flight.

"ABC of electrical safety" in verse form describes the rules of human behaviour in difficult life situations. It teaches the kids to see and recognize the hidden threat, to avoid dangers, to understand the consequences of their actions. The protagonist - the boy Rostik - knows the most vital rules best of all and tells about it to his friends. Part of the publication was transferred to the library of A. Likhanov to become a useful reading for children travelling with their parents on board the aircraft.

The action has been held in Belgorod since 2014. During this time, it has covered more than 30,000 people, collected more than 4,500 copies of children’s books, attracted more than 10 airlines, two major Moscow publishers, and three children’s libraries. The first to travel aboard the plane was another children’s book - Energolandia, published on the initiative of the Belgorod branch of IDGC of Centre. It covered dozens of cities in Russia and the Far Abroad, flying over 15 thousand kilometres.
