Tambovenergo’s employees on the eve of summer holidays conduct a series of electrical safety lessons in schools of the region

Specialists of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division within the "month of electrical safety" conduct a series of lessons in schools of the Tambov region on the prevention of children’s electric injuries. The program of classes is approved by the Department of Education and Science of the Tambov Region.

In the first weeks of May, the power engineers already conducted lessons in the schools of Kirsanovsky, Inzhavinsky, Mordovsky and Sosnovsky districts. More than 500 pupils and teachers of educational institutions took part in them. The schoolchildren learned about the basic rules of electrical safety and the importance of warning signs installed on electrical equipment, watched videos where it is clearly shown what unauthorized penetration into power facilities is dangerous with. Tambovenergo’s employees demonstrated to them methods of providing first aid to the victim from the impact of electric current, and at the end of the lessons they received special brochures and posters to consolidate the received knowledge.

Lessons in electrical safety are one of the most important activities of the program to reduce the risks of injuries to third parties at power facilities of IDGC of Centre. Until the end of May, Tambovenergo’s employees will hold thematic classes in practically all district schools of the Tambov region.
