17.05.2017

In early May 2017, IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division, within the preparation for the summer fire danger period, held the fire safety day. The purpose of the event is to prevent violations and deviations from the requirements of regulatory documents on fire safety, as well as to raise the level of theoretical knowledge of personnel in the field of fire safety and practical skills of using primary fire extinguishing means.

Thus, in the course of this event, in the subdivisions of the branch, responsible for the operation and repair of power equipment, buildings and structures, operation and repair of motor vehicles, storage facilities, the fire safety of premises of bases of Distribution Zones, buildings, structures, and condition of equipment of power grid facilities was checked. Reviews of fires were made with staff, which occurred at sites of SDCs of PJSC Rosseti in 2016, the requirements of fire safety instructions, administrative documents of the Company on fire safety issues were discussed, and the main violations of fire safety requirements identified during the inspections by the fire and technical commissions of the branch were considered. And at training centres, in Distribution Zones, practical exercises were held to train firefighting skills.

As a rule, on the fire safety day, all work (with the exception of emergency and first responding and restoration) is suspended, performance is postponed to the next business day.

Providing fire safety at power facilities is one of the most important parts of the process of ensuring the safe operation of equipment, buildings and structures. To maintain the required level of fire safety, the Company’s personnel are periodically instructed on fire safety, fire training, provision of power facilities, buildings and structures with primary fire extinguishing equipment, fire detection automation equipment. The whole set of measures carried out in the branch for fire safety made it possible to prevent fires and catching fires in 2016 and from the beginning of 2017 at power grid facilities of the branch.
