Kostromaenergo’s employees planted new trees on the "Power Engineers’ Alleys" in districts of the region

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division in the first half of May added new green areas to the "Power Engineers’ Alleys", planted by them earlier in different parts of the Kostroma region. The work was carried out in Distribution Zones of the enterprise and in Kostroma near the Regional Philharmonic Hall within the framework of the "Green Distribution Zone" program implemented by IDGC of Centre in the Year of Ecology. In total, more than 300 trees were planted.

The first "Power Engineers’ Alleys" were laid by Kostromaenergo’s employees in 2011 in Victory Park and on the territory of St. Tikhon’s Church. In 2012, specialists of EMERCOM of Russia in the Kostroma region joined the action and planted ash trees with them on the Friendship Alley, located in the park of the Noble Assembly. At the same time, with the support of the Governor of the Kostroma Region, Sergey Sitnikov, the "Power Engineers’ Alley" was laid at the Regional Philharmonic Hall at the entrance to Kostroma. Since then, it is replenished every year with new breeds of shrubs and ash trees. And on the "Power Engineers’ Alleys" in districts of the region, hundreds of coniferous, deciduous and fruit trees are planted annually, together with veterans and the youth of the enterprise, students of universities and technical schools.
