Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division carry out measures aimed at increasing the level of fire safety of power grid facilities.
In particular, the branch develops a set of measures for the safe operation through a fire hazardous period in the summer. In addition, schedules of emergency inspections of the fire-prevention condition of power lines and substations, which may be in the zone of grass-roots fires, have been approved, the lists of overhead lines have been updated.
The plan of measures includes testing the serviceability of primary fire extinguishing means and their sufficiency, as well as unscheduled official briefings to the branch’s staff performing work at power lines and in areas of growing tree and shrub vegetation. Technical measures are taken to prevent damage to the power grid property by fire: premises of 35-110 kV substations, distribution points and 6-10 kV transformer substations are periodically fire line plowed; availability and serviceability of firefighting equipment is checked. The facilities are equipped with fire alarm systems. Operators of the branch monitor the condition of equipment and electric grids when they receive information about the presence of thermal points in a certain locality on the basis of data received from the satellite system.
Heads of agricultural enterprises and organizations have been informed about the banning of fires and the inadmissibility of having oiled materials and garbage in the workplace. In addition, it is forbidden to use equipment with faulty fuel, exhaust and spark elimination, electrical and wiring systems.
IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division’s management refers to residents of Lipetsk and the Lipetsk region with a warning about the need to be cautious when dealing with fire, avoid emergencies, be vigilant and responsible in the event of a fire threat.
