At the training centre "Lubnya" in April 2017, the final stage of the professional skills competition of crews for repair and maintenance of 0.4-10 kV distribution networks of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division was held. The event is aimed at increasing the professionalism of employees of the branch, check of their knowledge, skills and mastery, competent and safe work at power facilities. Competitions are held annually with the aim of improving the quality and safety of work in the repair and maintenance of equipment, exchanging the best practices in the performance of work, improving the level of professional training of personnel.
Preliminary qualifying stages took place among crews of the southern, western, central, eastern zones, as well as among crews of Smolensk City Distribution Zone. The four best teams from Distribution Zones of the branch from Temkinsky, Pochinkovsky, Kholm-Zhirkovsky districts and the city of Smolensk took part in the final competitions. The referee commission was headed by Nikolay Kireenko, First Deputy Director and Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division.
Each crew had to overcome six stages, for which the judges were assigned. At the first stage, with the help of the software, the theoretical knowledge was tested: all the members of the crew had to respond individually to the questions posed by the software. At the second stage, the crews demonstrated the ability to release the victim from the action of electric current at a 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation, and also provide first aid to the injured (using the Gosha dummy-simulator). During the third stage, the teams had to make a primary connection of a residential building from an operating 0.4 kV overhead power line using a hydraulic lift. At the fourth stage of the competition, the correctness of maintenance of a 10 kV disconnector using a hydraulic lift was evaluated. Another stage of the competition was the replacement of a defective 10 kV insulator at a 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation. And, finally, the last stage was fire fighting at a 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation.
A stubborn struggle between the teams of Smolenskenergo revealed the best. The winner in the competition was the crew of Pochinoksky Distribution Zone of the master Sergey Sergeev, electricians Dmitry Komarov and Andrey Graschenkov. It is them who are going to represent the Smolensk region in the final competitions of professional skills of IDGC of Centre in the city of Voronezh this summer.
The second place was occupied by the crew of Smolensk City Distribution Zone: the master Alexander Malygin, electricians - Alexander Babushanov and Mikhail Makarov. Bronze winners were representatives of Temkinsky Distribution Zone - the master Mikhail Khokholev, electricians - Sergey Bardyshev and Kirill Kuleshov.
According to the results of the questioning of the referee committee, the best by profession were determined by the majority of votes. They were the master of Temkinsky Distribution Zone Mikhail Khokholev and the electrician Viktor Zhelyavichyus from Kholm-Zhirkovsky Distribution Zone. Also, additional nominations were provided, according to which it was determined that the youngest participant Kirill Kuleshov (29 years old) and the most experienced participant Sergey Bardyshev (work experience in Smolenskenergo - 16 years) work in the team of Temkinsky Distribution Zone.
According to the managers, in the course of such events, the crews receive a unique opportunity to exchange experiences. In preparation for the competition, the participants once again repeat the safety rules, acquire the skills to perform certain types of work, so that in real life they can confidently and safely perform equipment repairs.
