Employees of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division visited the exhibition of the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia that opened in the Museum and Exhibition Centre of the Tambov Region last weekend. Visiting the museum by the power engineers, many of whom came here with children, on the eve of the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory, was organized by the leadership of the branch together with the trade union committee.

The participants of the excursion got acquainted with samples of weapons and mock-ups of military equipment, orders, documents and personal belongings of great generals and soldiers. They also saw the portrait gallery "The General-Field Marshals of Russia" and the exhibition-photo-chronicle "The Great Country. From storming Berlin to storming the cosmos", heard fascinating stories about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and their exploits, the military banners and state decorations of the Soviet Union and Russia. After examining the exposition, students of Lyceum No. 6 of the city of Tambov spoke to them, who read poems about the war and told about the fighting path of the Hero of the Soviet Union, the power engineer, the native of the Tambov region Boris Fedorov, who in the past was a pupil of their school.

"It was very interesting to hear about the exploits of Red Army soldiers who gave their lives for our future. Most of all I remember the mock-ups of military equipment of that time and a small copy of the Reichstag building. I think we should honour all those who lost their lives in the war and proudly bear the memory of them and of our Victory," Egor Vorobyev, the son of the leading specialist in the public relations department of Tambovenergo, shared his impressions of the exhibition.
