On pre-holiday days IDGC of Centre – Orelenergo division traditionally honoured veterans - participants of the Great Patriotic War and workers of the rear. This year, congratulations were received by 14 people. With the participation of the trade union organization and the Veterans’ Board of Orelenergo, they organized an excursion to the Military History Museum of the city of Orel, as well as a gala concert. A video, filmed by the staff of Orelenergo and their children on the Victory Day, which tells the story of the children of the war, particularly touched guests of the holiday.
The veterans were happy to share their memories of the war years and the difficult time of the postwar reconstruction, were interested in the latest news of their native enterprise. During the meeting, they were congratulated by Yury Volchenkov, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Orelenergo division director: "Victory Day is the first important event for each of us. We take from you an example of perseverance, courage, bravery, diligence, responsibility and love for the Motherland and your cause. Low bow to you!" And those who could not come personally, were visited by representatives of the Youth Council, having presented with gifts and given warm words of gratitude from the leadership of the branch for an invaluable feat and many years of conscientious work.
