IDGC of Centre – Orelenergo division summed up the professional skills competitions among crews of operating and repair personnel for servicing 0.4-10 kV distribution networks and electricity metering devices. The best crews of Distribution Zones of the enterprise took part in it.
The program of the competitions included eight stages: repair, replacement and adjustment of equipment, checking knowledge of existing rules and regulations, extinguishing the fire in the bay of the switchgear and control gear, releasing the victim from action of electric current, providing first aid and performing resuscitation at the robot simulator, instrumental checking of three-phase meters with measuring transformers, replacement of deliberately faulty or unsuitable single-phase metering devices.
The winner of the competitions was the crew of Livensky Distribution Zone, which showed the best results after all the stages. Livensky power engineers will represent Orelenergo at IDGC of Centre’s competitions, which will be held in June in Voronezh. The second place was occupied by the crew of Maloarkhangelsky Distribution Zone, the third went to the crew of Pokrovsky Distribution Zone. The winners were awarded valuable prizes.
"The competitions are an important stage of professional training, where the knowledge and skills of personnel are checked, the ability to work in a team and effectively operate in critical situations. In addition, this is a powerful incentive for further improving the level of skills and quality of the work of specialists," stressed Yury Volchenkov, Director of IDGC of Centre – Orelenergo division.
