Bryanskenergo’s employees performed work on improvement of the burial place during the Great Patriotic War

02.05.2017

On the eve of 9 May, employees of Klintsovsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre – Bryanskenergo division held a clean-up event on the improvement of the territory and partial repair of the memorial complex located at the burial site of the partisan families shot by fascists during the Great Patriotic War in a forest park near the city of Klintsy. The power engineers removed the garbage adjacent to the memorial site, painted the fence, levelled and plastered the curbs of the memorial.

The memorial complex in Klintsovsky district is a monument of sorrow. In the mass grave, the families of guerrillas from the villages of Vnukovichi and Khalevichi of Novozybkovsky district, Zarechnoye of Klintsovsky district and Glynnoye of Gordeevsky district, who were shot by fascists on 30 May 1942, are buried - mostly women and children, the youngest of whom was only two years old. In 1954, an obelisk with a memorable inscription was erected on the grave.

For Bryanskenergo’s employees it has become a good tradition to take care of monuments of the Great Patriotic War. In particular, they also patronize the military burial in the village of Golubeya of Dubrovsky district. Thus, the power engineers pay tribute to the memory of the fallen heroes, veterans, victims of that terrible time.
