Professional skills competitions among crews for repair and maintenance of 0.4-10 kV distribution networks ended at IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division. They were attended by crews from all Distribution Zones of the enterprise, each of which included a master and three electricians.
The power engineers demonstrated their professional skills at five stages (checking knowledge of existing normative and technical documents, eliminating and troubleshooting faults at a 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation, replacing the main 0.4 kV switch, measuring dimensions in neighbouring spans of power lines and grounding resistance of a 10 kV overhead line, fire extinguishing at a 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation). The panel of judges assessed their actions on a point system, special attention was paid to safety in carrying out all works.
As a result, the winner was the team of Kirsanovsky Distribution Zone, which now is to defend Tambovenergo’s honour at the professional skills competitions of IDGC of Centre (they will be held in June in Voronezh). Representatives of Gavrilovsky Distribution Zone lost only a few points to it and became the second. The third place went to specialists of Morshansky Distribution Zone.
Vladimir Syschikov, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division director thanked the teams, judges and organizers for coordinated and responsible work. "Each of you wanted to show all your skills and abilities. I hope that the professional skills competitions will be an excellent basis for the exchange of experience," stressed the head of the branch.
