IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division, within the framework of the Year of Ecology and the "Green Distribution Zone" program implemented in the company, held traditional April clean-up events. More than 200 employees of the enterprise took part in them.

The employees of the branch brought to order premises of production bases and power facilities of the enterprise in Kursk and districts of the region: they removed garbage, performed cutting down of arboreal and shrubby vegetation, swept paths, whitewashed curbs, and beatified flower beds. In addition, they improved territories of memorials and monuments of the Great Patriotic War. So, the Alley of Power Engineers and Alley of Heroes were put in order in the settlement of Ponyri on the northern facet of the Kursk Bulge, where in 1943 one of the decisive events of the Battle of Kursk took place. The power engineers conducted large-scale work there: they cleared a large area of garbage, planted birches and arborvitae. Both the alleys were laid by Kurskenergo’s employees in the framework of the projects "We save the energy of the forest" and "The history of one feat" of IDGC of Centre.

In total, during the clean-up events, the power engineers collected and removed over 150 cubic metres of garbage to the solid waste landfill.

"Kurskenergo conducts clean-up events regularly, for many years. Thus, our employees contribute to the maintenance of cleanliness and improvement of the cities and districts of the Kursk region, where they live and work," stressed Alexander Muratov, deputy chief engineer for production assets management and development of the enterprise.
