Qualitative preparation for the operation through the autumn-winter period in 2016-2017, the implementation of production programs for the repair, technical re-equipment and reconstruction of power grid facilities allowed IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division to pass the period of maximum loads stably and without failures.
The main indicator of the successful passage of the autumn-winter period was a decrease in the failure rate at energy facilities of the region by 11.9% and undersupply of electricity by 54.7%, as well as a decrease in the average time to restore electricity from 2.35 hours to 2.27 hours.
The power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division paid special attention to the readiness to eliminate emergency contingencies in the autumn-winter period. In case of occurrence of technological disturbances, the branch formed the emergency reserve, all 18 Distribution Zones are equipped with backup sources of electric power supply. To date, the branch has 54 autonomous diesel generators with a total capacity of about 1.44 MVA.
To promptly respond to emergencies, the branch has 117 emergency response crews, totalling 587 people with 190 specialized vehicles.
In addition, 9 mobile crews were made up, which can arrive as soon as possible to any district of the region and a branch of IDGC of Centre for participation in emergency recovery work. During the current autumn-winter period, the specialists of the Lipetsk branch rendered assistance in eliminating the consequences of bad weather to colleagues from the Rostov and Kaluga regions.
"The results of the autumn-winter operation period of 2016-2017 showed that qualitative preparation, timely execution of all planned measures and strict observance of the current normative and technical documentation are the guarantee of a trouble-free passage of the winter maximum loads in the energy system," noted First Deputy Director – Chief Engineer of "Lipetskenergo" Vladimir Tikhonov.
