During the period from January to March 2017, specialists of IDGC of Centre – Lipetskenergo division conducted 46 raids in their service area to identify the theft of electricity.
According to the results of these measures, 114 acts of non-contractual consumption were compiled for individuals and legal entities for more than 1.7 million kWh or 5.9 million rubles, and 326 acts of non-metered consumption for 2.8 million kWh.
The largest number of facts of non-contractual consumption was recorded on the territory of Lipetsky, Dobrinsky and Dolgorukovsky Distribution Zones.
In accordance with the law, all violators will have to compensate the damage inflicted to the power company.
So, the consumer-legal person "En-Safe" LLC, located in the territory of Dobrinsky district, will have to return to the power company almost 1.5 million rubles for unauthorized connection without a contract in accordance with the established procedure for energy supply and for illegal consumption of 195 thousand kWh of electricity.
If the debt is not paid within the specified period, the materials will be transferred to the bodies of internal affairs to initiate an administrative or criminal case, and the debt will be recovered in court with reimbursement of all court costs.
The power company asks residents of the Lipetsk region to report such cases of energy theft to the 24-hour toll-free number of the direct line of power engineers of IDGC of Centre at 8-800-50-50-115, and also in any other acceptable way - through customer service offices in Distribution Zones or on the company’s site at www.mrsk-1.ru.
