22.03.2017

Staff of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division continue to work on the prevention of children’s electric injuries. One of the most effective lines is electrical safety lessons that the power company holds in schools of the region. Another such activity took place in Tambov Orthodox Gymnasium named after St. Pitirim. It was attended by 60 primary school pupils.

The lesson was conducted by safety engineers of Tambovenergo. They told the children about how to behave near grid facilities, introduced them to the basic rules of resuscitation with electric shock. The training simulator "Gosha" was of particular interest for the young audience, at which power engineers work out skills in first aid to the victim. After a short briefing, everyone had an opportunity to make "Gosha" artificial respiration and heart massage.

Also during the class the children studied signs warning of the danger of electric shock, were trained properly to leave the step voltage area, answered questions of an entertaining quiz.

At the end of the lesson Tambovenergo’s employees handed to all participants copies of the published with the support of IDGC of Centre book-brochure "Tales of electricity", and memos with electrical safety requirements, which will help them better assimilate the acquired knowledge.

Electrical safety lessons are part of a larger information campaign carried out by Tambovenergo in the framework of the adopted "Program of prevention of electric injuries" in IDGC of Centre. Power engineers conduct them throughout the school year in schools, and in the summer - in summer camps of the city and the region.
